Once, having spent weeks convincing a former socialist that capitalism is the only hope for society to achieve the goals she herself treasured; I was told that she was completely convinced on almost every point except one. The field of medicine, she insisted, was just too important to leave to capitalism! Everything else could be capitalist.

To be a Free Market Warrior is to understand that capitalism is not the flavor of the month. It’s not the optimal way of doing things. It’s not what will make my life better by allowing me to become more prosperous.  Rather, it is the lynchpin that holds our entire society together. The complexity and advancement of our modern economy is completely beyond what any socialist system can handle.
